1. OBS Studio
OBS is one which is available for free and there are more to with instead of screen recording. You can also do live streaming. It is to record screen, so no drawing tools available. No watermark and recording limit.
First-time users, need to have few tutorials of using it. Although it is simple, new layout may disturb you. After a simple video lesson, I prefer OBS for my screen recording these days.

2. Icecream Screen Recorder
Icecream Screen Recorder lets you record your screen. One of the software I use to record for YouTube video. I like this because it has drawing tools. So I can mark the area to show and to point out words/links.
The only thing I do not like is limit to record when are using a free software. The free version only records the screen for 5 minutes. However, you can hit the record button again to start it again. Try it’s free and then buy a license to record the screen for more minutes.

3. Apowerrec
Another free screen recorder with a limit of 3 minutes recording. Use drawing tool to mark text or to point while recording. It has many tools to edit/record the video. It supports online screen recording, you can benefit (require to install a launcher).
If you do a lot of editing and screen recording, get the desktop version and do it offline.

This is especially for gaming. If you are a gamer then you would love it. It is recommended to check system requirements before downloading it. As mentioned you need good OS.

GoPlay screen recorder and editor for your PC and android phone. It has a free version give you 10 minutes for recording a video with a watermark.
License price is low for a PC and valid for a year. If you want lifetime license need to pay a higher price, which is under $100 per PC.

Another free screen recorder with a watermark. Get a license to remove the site address appears on the top of the video. Also limited to record 10 minutes of a video.

It would be your good choice for recording and video editing purpose. It is actually video editor and screen recording is included within it. Free to use with watermark in the middle of the video you save.
If you are looking for a good easy video editor this is best but recommended to purchase the license. I personally found very easy editing with transactions and animated text. Although it has simple intro animated text, I like it very much.
