Say Goodbye To Flash Player

Flash player had an essential role in advancing the content from video to games. Some of the games only required Flash player to run. Also, many applications used to run with it.

Now, it is time to say goodbye. If you do not know much about it, let me tell you it is announced by adobe on 07-25-2017 in their blog.

Flash player in chrome

Browser supported Flash Player

Flash Player made it very simple to play games on the browser. Where many people were not able to download the games they usually play it on browsers like Chrome, Internet Explorer and others.

Games are not the only ones we used with the help of the Flash player. There were many others like online tools and videos, even editors required it.

Flash player installed on browsers, saved a lot of time and effort.

What is the reason?

Well, we have seen other news similar to this one. Years ago Orkut a social site, Google plus page, and Yahoo group are few of them.

The reason is very simple, this is not used much as it was earlier. Over the last few years, it has become less common. Before 2014, 80 percent of desktop Chrome users visited a site with Flash each day. And after then it is only 17 percent (according to Chrome report).

Sites are migrating to open web technology, which is faster and more power-efficient, also more secure than Flash. So, safer while shopping, banking, or reading sensitive documents.

Effects

31 DECEMBER 2020 is the last day of Flash Player.

Well, Chrome has announced on the same day when adobe released the notice and Microsoft has posts too.

According to Internet Explorer & Chrome, the Flash will not be part of their next versions.

Microsoft – Flash will be disabled in Microsoft Edge. It is still in previous versions like Microsoft Edge (EndeHTML) or Internet Explorer 11. It will be there until 31 Dec 2020. Related post here.

Chrome – Here Chrome has similar actions on this. Flash will work as usual and no longer part after 31 Dec 2020. Related post here.
