What is FreedomGPT?

FreedomGPT is a chatbot and online platform that allows users to interact with large language models (LLMs) in a free and uncensored way. It is developed by Meta AI and is based on the GPT-3 LLM.

FreedomGPT comes in multiple versions. The online version requires you to log in and all your conversions will cost 10 credits. Its GPT-4 model needs 10 credits and the GPT -3.5 model needs 5 credits. The offline version is free and available for Windows and Mac.

How FreedomGPT is different from other AI chatbots?

The key distinguishing features of FreedomGPT that set it apart from other AI chatbots.

FreedomGPT is different from other AI chatbots in several ways. First, it is not censored. This means that it can answer questions and generate text on any topic, even if it is controversial or sensitive. Second, it is free to use. There are no fees for using FreedomGPT, and there is no need to create an account. Finally, FreedomGPT is private. It does not collect any personal information from its users, and all of the data that is generated on the platform is deleted after 24 hours.

FreedomGPT can be used for a variety of purposes.

  • Generating creative text formats, such as poems, code, scripts, musical pieces, emails, letters, etc.
  • Translating languages
  • Answering questions in a comprehensive and informative way, even if they are open-ended, challenging, or strange.
  • Having conversations about a variety of topics, including personal opinions, beliefs, and experiences.

Here we are discussing on offline version

You can see the AI model, its model, and its sizes. You can download a version and then choose to start on it. LLaMA is fine-tuned by Staford researchers and its behaviour is more likely to ChatGPT.

How to use FreedomGPT?

Its interface is quite similar to ChatGPT, but at the moment it is not as friendly as the OpenAI-developed alternatives. All of the chats are bunched together in conversations, and you need to reload or restart the app for another chat.

FreedomGPT can remember your latest chat to some extent, but it is not designed to be a long-term memory store. It uses a technique called contextualization to keep track of the recent conversation, but this information is eventually deleted to make room for new information.

Personally, my experience was different compared to ChatGPT. One is it got slow and sometimes it answers not or delays. Second, it answers directly without playing roles.
